Approaching their first Christmas in the renovated house, Anita and John hosted a baking party where people could join in and bake Christmas goodies or just hang out and enjoy the treats. Deb made two sweets — melted Rolos sandwiched between small pretzels and pecans, and traditional sugar cookies. Anita used a family recipe to make delicious bread loaves, as well as apricot balls. I made my family's traditional Christmas treat (well, traditional for one generation), Indonesian cheese cookies (or as some prefer to call them, cheese crackers. You know who you are).
